That’s totally not a secret. Anyway, it’s in everything and makes the food taste really, really good.

Making picarones -savory, deep-fried dough made with squash, sweet potatoes, flour, yeast, water and a few other ingredients. After making close to 200, we ate them with honey and they were delicious!

20140213_Jello_Cake_01On our last night, Sor Liria made a jello cake and, since it was the day before Valentine’s Day, used All-Bran to decorate it.
