I generally try not to be overly opinionated on MOB, but the time has come for me to give some unsolicited advice.
Unsolicited Advice
Dear Most American Cities -I need you to be friendlier toward cyclists. Please. Thank you. Sincerely, Kat
In other news, I took a trip back to Madison, a.k.a. one of the sweller American bike cities. Not going to lie -It’s been a bit of a shock. Bike paths! Bike lanes! Bike stoplights! I’m pretty sure I saw more bikes in my first day in Madison than I’ve seen in the past six months.
OK, so I tend to get a little high and mighty about Madison’s bike community. I’m sorry! Really, I am. I mean, all the other places I’ve visited and lived in are great and all, it’s just that I think I’m sort of right about Madison and I think the Bike Snob agrees with me: “…Madison is more than ‘bike friendly,’ and it’s actually so affectionate towards cyclists that sometimes it gropes you in a way that makes you feel slightly uncomfortable.”
If the Bike Snob says so, it’s true. Obviously.
Thanks for that link, TC.
Look! We’ve got stoplights! For bikes.
Really, they’re just too adorable.
Don’t have a bike? That’s totally OK because you can just rent one from one of these nifty corner kiosks.
Oh geez. My one opinionated blog post. I really hope I don’t get hit on my bike now.

We biked around D.C. using those rent-a-bike things! Rachel almost died of fright but it was still fun. 🙂
