I found this really rad book at the library today: Ruhlman’s Twenty. In it, Michael Ruhlman talks about what he considers to be the 20 essentials in cooking. It’s quite interesting! Today I learned about batter. A batter must involve starch, so a flour-less chocolate cake mixture is not a batter. Rather, it’s a custard.
Banana-blueberry bread! And dinner, which was rice and beans, a fried egg, avocado, and some homemade lemon-lime-ade. All sorts of good choices!
