I’m taking a freelance/lighting course this semester. One of the assignments is food photography and, as I have little experience with food photography, I figured I ought to practice before the assignment is due. Practicing naturally involved a trip to Albertsons for eggs, asparagus and, most regrettably, canned vegetables. As my experience with canned vegetables was rather limited, I was unprepared for the suspicious green and orange mush that came in cans labeled “peas” and “carrots.” 10 or so frames in, I realized the set-up didn’t have a lot going for it:
Oh boy! Canned peas!
Oh, go Photoshop Levels!
