Cole and I camped at Little Rock Creek Lake for Memorial Day Weekend.
Shortly before this photo I made the mistake of balancing on a slippery, moss-covered log in the lake. Good news: camera saved.
Rule 1: Don’t balance on slippery logs with expensive gear.
There’s a lot of free time in the middle of nowhere.
So you know in Star Wars, when they make the jump to light speed? Exactly.
Rule 2: Make sure your super free backpack has straps with buckles before you hike 4.6 miles. Otherwise you might need to lash the pack to your body with your camera strap (improvisation). LESSON LEARNED.
Stellar improvisation. I was a bit proud.
